BrightWoods

PROJECT STORY

In another life, BrightWoods was a Japanese spiritual retreat centre on Salt Spring Island, BC. Complete with White Cedar timber, Douglas Fir hardwood flooring, ricepaper sliding doors, and tatami mats, this property was not short on character. But the owner wanted it to feel less like a community centre and more like a home. For this project, we salvaged all of the beautiful natural materials while upgrading key details like lighting, countertops, fixtures, and furnishings to transform BrightWoods into a luxurious private residence.
